Bill was born in McDonald, Tennessee on February 6, 1940 to the late William “Buster” Cecil Kesley, Sr., and Sydney Irene Walker Kesley. Bill worked for and retired from the Chattanooga Gas Company for many years as a Meter Technician. His unwavering faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of his life, guiding every step he took and fueling his deep dedication to God. His love for Christ was evident in the way he lived – touching countless lives with his commitment to serve and glorify God in all that he did. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Bill was a long-time member of Bancroft Church of God where his son, Jeff is the pastor.
Bill was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents, brother, Edward Kesley and sister-in-law,
Brenda Kesley.
Left behind to cherish Bill’s memory are his wife of 64 years, Shirley Kesley, his children and their spouses, Annette (Greg) Forgey and Rev. Jeff (Tina) Kesley, grandchildren and their spouses, Amy (Jason) Watkins, Jeremy (Katie) Kesley, Jason (Jennifer) Joy, Tiffany (James) Taylor, great-grandchildren, Briana and Bryson Gladden, Chloe, Summer and Emma Kesley, and Nate and Luke Joy, brothers, Brian J. (Dorita) Kesley and Alvin Kesley, sisters, Barbara (Henry) Brookshire and Lillie (Dennis) White, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Chattanooga
Funeral Home Valley View Chapel with Rev. Terry Kesley and Rev. Jeff Kesley officiating. The family
will receive friends Monday evening October 14th from 4-8pm. He will be laid to rest in the Lee
Cemetery in McDonald, TN.
