William H. “Bill” Carson, 93, of Chattanooga passed away October 25, 2018 peacefully at home with his family at his side. He was born on April 9, 1925 to the late Raymond L. and Eva Theona Mathis Carson. He was a lifetime member of Concord Baptist Church and served his county as an officer in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his time in service, he returned home and became a Contractor in Property Developer.
Bill was preceded in death by his wives Betty Biggs Carson and Betty Morgan Carson.
He is survived by his daughter Becky (Dewey) Carson Jones, grandchildren Daniel (Nikki) Moats, Shawn (Lindsey) Moats, Cheryl Moats, Allison (Jack) Lefor, great-grandchildren Emil, Emeril, Eli, Brynna, brother Charles Carson, sister Virginia (Charles) Davis, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Louis Hamm Officiating. Family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at his home any time Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2055 N. Concord Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421.
