Wayne was a licensed master plumber, pipe and gas fitter and worked for Damron Plumbing. He was a veteran of the U S Army having served his country in Iraq. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and loved to aggravate his family. Wayne will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was of the Baptist faith and had attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Cannon, maternal grandparents, James and Lucille Brown, and paternal grandparents, James and Maria Cannon.
Survivors include his loving wife, Brandie Cannon, two sons, Skyler Cannon (Brittney), of Rossville, GA, Cainaen Compton, of New Castle, DE, three grandchildren, Sarah, Rory, Zylah Cannon, mother, Betty Ford (Mike), of Brainerd, father, Michael W. Cannon, Sr., of Soddy Daisy, TN, sister, Sarah Cannon (Tim), four brothers, Nathan Ford (Janelle), Jason Ford, Derek Ford, Brian Cates, sister, Alissa Calhoun, (Matt), several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his dogs, Deano and Roxy.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor George Ashburn officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Monday, January 2, 2023, at the funeral home.
