He was a native of Chattanooga and was the son of the late William H. and Mary Lou Kincer.
Ronnie was a graduate of Central High School where he excelled as an athlete. He was a member of the Central High School Sports Hall of Fame, Chattanooga Area Sports Hall of Fame and the Tennessee Amateur Softball Hall of Fame. He was a veteran of the U S Army and retired from Chattanooga Gas Company after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the Fidelity Masonic Lodge #558 F & AM in Harrison, TN and was of the Baptist faith.
Ronnie loved his family and socializing with all his many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ruby Kincer, son, Kipp (Becky) Kincer, of Ringgold, GA, daughter, Kelly Overstreet, of Ooltewah, TN, three grandchildren, Evelyn Kincer, Jillian Kincer, Kristin (Andrew) Helton, great granddaughter, Mackenzie Overstreet, sister, Barbara Shaver, of Ringgold, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2019, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Steve Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at the funeral home.
