Robert was a dear brother in Christ.  We always enjoyed hearing him sing and/or preach. He was a blessing in our lives.  We will continue to remember him and be in prayer for Shelba (a very precious lady) and his family.  Enjoy Christmas in the presence of your dear Lord Jesus Brother Meyers. God be with you Shelba and give you strength as only He can. We love you.

I am so sad that Uncle Robert has passed away.  I will miss his kindness, gentleness, and humor.   His influence on our family was immense.   

To quote a favorite hymn..When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be.  When we all see Jesus we’ll sing and shout the victory !

So sorry to hear this had great memories of Robert M. He was a wonderful Godly person . He lead me to the Lord when I was 26 years old at West Moraine B.C.in Ohio close to 80 years old now . Called to preach 6 months after Robert lead me to the Lord . Never have forgotten him .Thru his love for lost people his ministry still goes on through me and lots of others . We love Shelba and Robert and their family!  They are so kind and helpful and have been such great caring friends for decades.  Their unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and their willingness to sacrifice in order to spread the Gospel throughout the world have been such a great example of gratitude for their salvation.  Shelba has been such a wonderful caregiver for Robert in these last years of his needs showing love and kindness and a great support in all his lifelong ministry. Sending all our love and prayers to you at this time of grief. We loved Robert and will miss his kindness, humility, consideration,wisdom and humour. We have so many blessed memories of time n church together, his preaching, camp ministry, singing, playing games and laughing around meals as he ministered to the church in Australia with Tim when he and Shelba would visit. 

We will fondly miss Robert for demonstrating how to serve Jesus with joy and a smile.  What an example hey!!

SINGING WITH ROBERT WAS SUCH A JOY - I ALWAYS KNEW IT WAS FROM HIS HEART.  HE TAUGHT ME SO MUCH ABOUT LIVING FOR JESUS!

Robert loved his grandchildren - my how they have changed since 2008!

One of my heroes & lifetime friends made his way to heaven this morning.  Robert Arden Meyer & I met at Clarke Memorial College in 1958.  We graduated from William Carey College (now university) and have remained close all these years.  God comfort his children & precious wife, Shelba.  Until Then my heart will go on singing.  You were such a joy to know & our fellowship always caused me to love Jesus more.  Bless you too Johnny!  He sure loved you & all his brothers.  His Mom Saraleen was one of the greatest Christians I have ever met.

In 2008,  Robert took three of us to Australia.  We visited several cities and stayed with Tim and his family in Brisbane.  It was a trip of a lifetime.  Now Robert has really made a trip of a lifetime - he beat us to heaven.  Please don't miss that trip - "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

To know Robert was to love him. He was a kind and loyal friend, a man of integrity and deep conviction, but most importantly he loved Jesus and served Him with his all.

My childhood is full of wonderful memories of Robert’s visits to our home - he was a missionary and would come to the churches my Dad pastored to share his work. I affectionately referred to him as “Uncle Robert.” When he would come and stay with us he would bring us kiddos a giant Hershey candy bar! He knew how to endear us to him and we loved and appreciated him for how special he made us feel.

As I remember the life of Robert Meyer one passage comes to mind, “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”

as I sit today thinking of years gone by, how much I enjoyed the choir, appreciated  the teaching and training of  our children, the times you visited our home, and many  ,many more.  We were so blessed!

Mr Meyer magnified, exalted and glorified God throughout his life and ministry as a Christian.   He impacted my life first as a 12 year old and continued to influence my teen years. His daughter is my best friend, my soul sister ❤️.  I will forever be grateful for Mr & Mrs Meyer.  Mark & I were blessed to visit the Meyers 6 years ago to say thank you and to let them know how much we love and appreciate them.  It was a very special time. Dearest Meyer family.  Much time and distance have separated us since the early 1980’s in Australia. I shared the following not too long ago as I remembered the early beginnings of Queensland Baptist Bible College and the influence that Bro. Robert had to instill the love of music and the important of it during worship as he taught it in the College. Whenever I tell the history of a hymn I alway make mention either directly or indirectly of Bro. Robert and his classes.
My prayers for the family this week, and in the weeks and months to come.  I know from experience that God will measure His perfect Grace upon each of you daily as needed.

I love you both so much and I am so thankful for the impact you have had and continue to have on my life.  You have always made me feel precious and loved.  You have always said I'm the joy of your lives, but please know that you are also the joy of mine.

Granddad was horrified that I (Jessica) had never learned how to play rook.  So when I was 28, I got to learn with the great-grandkids.

Ron and I always enjoyed hearing Robert tell a story or two.
He would have us laughing in no time!
His sense of humor and Fun was a bright spot in many peoples lives!
