Patricia "Patti" Gayle Pickett

Patricia (“Patti”) Gayle Pickett passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022, at the age of 78. She was met by those who preceded her, including her parents, Henrietta Hill Hixson and Joe Norwood Crowley of Chattanooga; brother, Joe Norman Crowley, of Harrison, and her fur babies Brandy and Sophie both of which undoubtedly jumped into her lap with excitement upon her arrival.

Patti was the Matriarch of the family. She had a brilliant mind and was known for her phenomenal vocabulary. Patti enjoyed spending time with family, reading, working cross-word puzzles, playing billiards, watching her Tennessee Volunteers football and listening to good music. She had a “green thumb” and loved all varieties of flowers. She could often be found sitting on her back deck with family and friends surrounded by her beautiful flowers. She loved sitting in front of a cozy fire and was even known to have a fire blazing with the air-conditioning running. During her lifetime, she also enjoyed boating and traveling in their motor home with her husband, Ron. Patti lived life to the fullest and is greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patti is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Ronald Neal Pickett; children, Melanie (Kelly) Paul of Woodstock, GA, Kathy Leiderman of Chattanooga, and Kelly Smith of Hixson; grandchildren, Keson Paul, Hannah Jarrett, Jonah Smith and Molly Kate Smith; siblings, Gary Crowley, Sharon LaParry, and Kyle Crowley; nieces and a nephew and grand-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on February 17, 2022 at 2:30 pm eastern time at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
