Loretta Rosalie (Gazzillo) Klenk

Loretta Rosalie (Gazzillo) Klenk, 96, can now rest as she has been called home by our Heavenly Father. Loretta was born July 25, 1926, in Phoenixville, PA, to the late Vincent and Christine (Chico) Gazzillo. She was married to the love of her life for 75 years, World War II veteran Robert B. Klenk, and she and Bob lived in Phoenixville most of their life, retiring to Chattanooga in 1988. Loretta worked at the PX at Valley Forge Army Hospital in Phoenixville and as a flag pinner at the Dettra Flag Company in Oaks, PA. Loretta, better known as Nanny, was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her beloved Bob, her parents, sisters Rose Gazzillo, Helen Mastrangelo and Lena A. Wapnarski, great-grandson Kyler B. Evans, and son-in-law Alan B. Thompson, Sr.

Loved ones left to cherish her wonderful memories are daughter Beverly Pellicciotti (Thomas) of Swedesburg, PA; daughter Roberta “Bobbie” Thompson of Chattanooga; granddaughter Susan (New) Walter (Steve) of Harmonyville, PA; grandson Dr. Alan B. Thompson, Jr. (Erika) of Portland, Oregon; granddaughter Jennifer (Thompson) Bondurant (Scot) of Murfreesboro, TN; and great-grandchildren Sydni and Noah Gajewski, Skylar and Juliana Thompson, Karsten, Kylie and Braden Evans, and Zoie and Riley Bondurant.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 19, 2022 in the funeral home chapel of the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Debbie Stokes officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Loretta’s memory may be made to Hearth Hospice, 513 Georgia Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, 37403, or the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank The Lantern at Morning Pointe and Hearth Hospice for their loving care.
