June C. Moore

She was the daughter of the late S.H. and Texas Blackeye Currey and was preceded in death by five siblings, Robert Currey, Joe Currey, Martha Currey Mansfield, Nell Currey Prince and Edward Currey.

She was an all-star basketball player while in high school. June worked in banking for many years before retiring from American National/SunTrust Bank. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

She was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of sixty seven years, Alex G. “Buddy” Moore, of Chattanooga, TN., son, Donald G. Moore, of Harrison, TN., Deborah M. McLachlan, of Ooltewah, TN., four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, three sisters, Betty Sue Colvin, of Muscle Shoals, AL., Linda Dale, of Myrtle Beach, SC., Sarah Gupton, of Social Circle, GA., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. David King officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday and 11:30 – 1:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
