She was born September 21, 1939 in Chattanooga to the late Jack & Thelma Allinder.
She was a longtime active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. Julia’s desire and commitment to Jesus led her to serve in many capacities at her beloved church. Her genuine love for others was a trademark of her life. She was cherished by so many.
She was known for her generous hospitality and creativity. She welcomed anyone and everyone into her home for her many gatherings where she made each one feel like family. She always looked forward to hosting numerous Christmas events celebrating Christ’s birth.
Survivors include husband, Robert “Mack” Parker; daughters, Jane Parker and Julie (Chad) Clark; grandchildren, Jade (Alex) Yarbrough, Jordan Clark, Jace Brannon, Bryce Clark, and Megan Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Rowan Yarbrough.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Woodland Park Baptist Church (6735 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421). Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Kinlaw officiating.
