Well John, and so we part... if only for a short while. We are, after all, eternal beings. 38 years ago a restless 32 year old insurance agent, seeking to escape from Detroit, and his 30 year old pregnant wife met a 39 year old John at the Concord Hilton in Concord, CA. After an uncertain start, I was hired to be your junior associate and we made the big move from frigid Michigan to sunny California. You and Nancy welcomed us with gracious hospitality, strangers that we were in a new land. We didn't know anybody. We worked side by side daily for two years until our working relationship was destroyed by the dark side of the financial services industry. But our friendship survived, having gone through several incarnations. It has been said that no one is indispensable and that everyone is replaceable. That, of course, is not true. You take with you a significant part of my professional life and the blessings unique to true friendship. But, we will meet again in a world we cannot imagine 💔 

John was a great man and great friend. Truly going to miss the weekly conversations and texts along with the lunches. I will cherish the memories too many to list, but will always remember. My prayers and thoughts to Nancy and the family. Rest In Peace. DMK

I had the privilege of working with John for several years. One of the hardest workers I was ever around. After we both retired I enjoyed talking to him about politics, family and living in Tennessee.  John was a good man. He will be missed


John was a true friend and confidant and I always enjoyed talking to him and discussing “current events”.   After he retired our conversations became less frequent but I was blessed to spend a few hours talking to him (by phone) earlier this month.   From Chris and I we are sending all our love to Nancy and the family during this difficult time.   Thanks for everything John.

John was a fine man and a good friend. I will truly miss him. We spent many hours talking about politics and the church, his family and mine. We had hoped to do some historic tourism this spring. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and the entire family. John left quite a legacy and will be remembered forever. Rest In Peace my friend.
