Jerry Nelson Massingill

He was the son of the late Taylor and Nellie Massingill and was preceded in death by seven siblings, Edward, James, Martha and Donald Massingill, Johnny Hundley, Lucille Hedrick and Nellie Evans.

Jerry retired from Columbus McKinnon Corporation. He loved watching Nascar and spending time in his yard.

He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his two children, Jerry Nelson Massingill, Jr., of Colorado, Cindy Massingill, of Chattanooga, TN, three grandchildren, Lagacie Baldwin, David Stoner, Ryan Massingill, nine siblings, Judy Helton, Jennie White, Roger Massingill, Kathleen Knox, Robert Massingill, Ella Mae Copeland, Maria Graves, Barbara Blackwell, Ricky Massingill, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Kesley officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, at the funeral home.
