He was a 1964 graduate of Norwich Free Academy and was of the Catholic Faith.
Mr. Ford retired from Westinghouse after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dianne Ford; son, Sean Ford of Ooltewah; stepdaughter, Amy Hitchcock of Ringgold; stepson, Scott Smith of Chattanooga; sister, Barbara Jacobs of Norwich, CT; and grandchildren, Grace and Bailey Ford, and Christopher and Taylor Richards.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
