He was born April 17, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Robert and Ruth Drake.
Dr. Drake was a member of the US Army, a retired Chiropractor and member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and the Chattanooga Choo Choo Shag Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Charissa “Chris” Drake. His siblings, Barbara Cashman and Robert Drake, preceded him in death as well.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Ashleigh and Andrew Welsh of Chattanooga; grandsons Grant Gallop and Caden Welsh of Chattanooga; and niece Catherine Symmes of Charleston, SC.
A graveside prayer service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 2 PM at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN with Father Manuel Perez officiating.
