Gary Lee Brock, 53, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014. A native of Reno, NV, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past nine years and was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and was employed with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee. Gary had a love for motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Sue Brock. Survivors include his wife of 20 years Kim Brock; two sons and their wives, Eric and Mary Brock, Prattville, AL and Jeremy and Kayla Brock, Deatsville, AL; four grandchildren; father, Buren Brock, Carrollton, GA; brother, Roger and Vicki Brock, Hartselle, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at: hospiceofchattanooga.org or to the American Cancer Society at: cancer.org. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday (8-31-14) in the Almon Funeral Home Chapel, 548 Newnan Street, Carrollton, Georgia, 30117, 770-832-7056 with Dr. Ron Stone officiating. Inurnment was held Friday (8-22-14) in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force, Warner Robbins, GA.
