Mr. McClellan was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama, the son of Myrtis Brooks and Forney W. McClellan, Sr.. Mack earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Auburn University, served 6 years in the National Guard, and 32 years at TVA, working in Chattanooga and Johnsonville Steam Plant. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church Of Chattanooga and the Tennessee Ornithological Society. He was an amazing man--always gentle, and soft of voice, and even softer and kinder of heart. Making memories on family adventures was important to him, especially with Gary, Blake and Daniel. He was a wonderful father and handyman, generous and extremely supportive, and his quiet presence with be greatly missed.
Surviving are his two children, Gary McClellan and Brenda (Don) Eberhart; two grandsons, Blake and Daniel Eberhart; brother, Allan (Sharon) McClellan; sister, Elaine (Roy) Bryant; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Marlene Helton.
Visitation will be from 2 – 4 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the funeral home followed by a 4 PM Memorial Service.
