He proudly served his country in the United States Army. David attended Stanley Baptist church and he really enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clark ‘Hoggie’ Owens; mother, Ella Mae Owens; brother, Robert ‘Bobby’ Owens; and grandparents, Fred and Bertha McNabb.
David is survived by his loving wife, Marie Owens; daughters, Rhonda Holcomb, Krista Blevins; stepson, Travis Carruth; brothers, Lonnie Skyles, William ‘Bug’ Owens; sister, Kim Dodd; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 12:00 pm.
Interment will immediately follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
