She was born June 20, 1947 in Chattanooga to the late William Ralph and Helen Ruth Roberson.
She was an avid camper, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and being with family. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved being a “Nana” and “Gran-Nana” to her wonderful grandchildren.
Carol retired from Gem Products after 18 years of service.
Her son, Lin Connally, two brothers, Frankie Roberson and Michael Roberson, and granddaughter, Brittany Mayweather preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Johnny D. Gray; daughters, Kimberly (Joe) Brown and Wendy (Eric Vinson) Connally of Rising Fawn; grandchildren, Meagan Thompson, Thomas (Kelsey) Mayweather, Damarcus Mayweather, Letricia (Drake Norman) Mayweather, and Samantha Mayweather; great-grandchildren, Makayla Mathis, Willow Chambers, Sam Chambers, Zayden Norman, Katelaya Norman, Titus Mayweather, Odin Mayweather, and Noelle Mayweather; brother, William (Peggy) Roberson of Ringgold; sisters, Glenda (Henry) Wooden of Chattanooga and Rebecca Roberson of Ooltewah; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Mark Hammond and Thomas Mayweather officiating. Interment will follow at Plowman Cemetery.
