He was born in Chickamauga, GA to the late Carl Davis Pickard, Sr. and Mary Viola Pitts Pickard. Carl worked in the Plumbing industry with Ferguson and Krane. After deciding to leave the Plumbing industry, Carl and his wife, Cathy, started Glo-Works Cleaning Service, over 27 years ago. Carl was an avid NASCAR fan.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Doris Berry.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Cathy Pickard; son, Tim (Karen) Pickard of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Mikhayla Pickard of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Bill (Doris) Bryson of Flintstone, GA; sister-in-law, Joan Lonas of Chattanooga, TN; brother-in-law, Roy (Marie) Harris, Chattanooga, TN; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
The family would like to send a special thanks the Doctor’s and staff at Emory University for their kindness and compassion when Carl was there for visits. They would also like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care they provided to Carl and the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Emory University, Office of Constituent Giving and Donor Relations, 1762 Clifton Road, Suite 2400 Atlanta, GA 30322 or to the charity of your choice in Carl’s honor.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 3 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, with Rev. Russ Maroon officiating.
