I went to nursing school with Brittany and while it has been many years since I last saw her or talked to her, I can talk about who she was 10 years ago. She was so vivacious, driven, smart and fun. She was such a great mom. She and Jaxon were besties and everything she did was for him. She was passionate about her job and I always told people for years how proud I was of her for making it through school on her own as a single mom. She rose above her circumstances. I’m thankful that I got to call her friend and saddened that she is gone. My condolences to all

Oh, sweet Brittany. Your beautiful spirit, your unfailing strength, and  your endless belief in  hope and love will never be forgotten. Your memory will be treasured and held close. May you rest in peace in the arms of angels, dear one.

You will be missed by so many. Although we haven’t spoken in years, I still treasure our friendship many years ago. You were always a bright, fun-spirited person and a good friend and mother. Dearest Wendy and Shirley:  I strongly believe Brittany is in a better place.  God needed her more than this earth did so he chose to take her home.  It's never easy but know she adored you both, had both of you always on her mind and loved fiercely.  She had a beautiful soul in which for that, you both should be proud. Brittany, I have known your for so long. I'll never forget how we met. We were at your grandma's dance hall, your grandma came up to me and asked me to dance with you. Since then you have held a very special place in my heart. I think it's been about 15 years since that day, I can't believe you are gone. I'm so glad we got to spend some time together this past year. I miss you so much already. You'll always be in my heart.

Bobby, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. There is no greater loss than a child.

My brilliant, brave, beautiful friend, Brittany. Losing you makes me feel very helpless. 

I met Brittany in nursing school. She was a young single mother to the cutest little toddler. She would sometimes bring him to skills labs. Sometimes she would have to bring him to a test, and I would take care of him until she finished.

Brittany was really smart. She finished tests faster and got better grades than me, and I remember being amazed at her for this, since I had nothing to focus on besides school, and Brittany had a child to care for. 

Looking back, I recognize that her advantage back then was the drive of being a mother who is working for her child's future. That is why she aced tests in record time. There was a lot riding on her success- and she did succeed. 

Even more than her smarts, Brittany's Motherhood stood out to me. She related to her children in a way that communicated that she thought they were important people. She got on their level and talked to them almost as if they were peers. There was always a lot of laughter and fun.

When I became a single mother myself, I would often think of Brittan's example. She paved the way. From her, I learned the importance of letting your children feel how important they are to you. How to listen and speak to them in a way that makes them feel safe. 

Britt and I kept in touch more in the last two years than we had in the years following graduation. The theme of our conversations was always her undying love for her children; her desire to do whatever it took to be with them. They were everything to her.

It is difficult to accept that this is where her story ends. I love you, my sweet friend. My love and condolences to Jaxson, Hudson, and Mila.

I am so sorry for your loss, I couldn't imagine. Prayers to all, I believe I met her when she was a kid. I miss all my family.

Brittany was such a beautiful and wonderful soul. She was always kind and her smile was contagious. She will be deeply missed.

Brittany was my best friend growing up. I am heartbroken and at a loss for words. I know that she is finally at peace and is no longer hurting or struggling, and for that I am thankful. When Brittany loved, she loved with her whole heart. I will never forget our late night prank calls, laughing until we cried, meeting our first “real boyfriends” at Circuit City- I know those were some of the happiest times of her life and I’m thankful I was apart of those. I am praying for her family and children. ❤️
