Archie Lee Barnes, 63 of Harrison, TN, passed away Saturday evening, February 19, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of the Harrison area, he was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Newton Chevrolet. He was the son of the late Leona Gifford and Archie Barnes. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Barnes; two daughters, Kelly (Brent) Phillips, Ooltewah and Connie (Terry) Jump, Harrison; son, Michael Yates, Harrison; two grandsons, Brandon Parrott and Shane Parrott; two granddaughters, Madelyn Phillips and Gabrielle Phillips; step-father, Arthur Gifford, Decatur, TN; brother, Max (Dolly) Bowman, Ooltewah; two sisters, Linda (Verlin) Bramlett, Rock Spring, GA and Agnes Jackson, Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Josh Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service on Wednesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
