Amanda was a beautiful child, inside and out. She was kind and considerate, intelligent and thoughtful. She loved her family and was blessed by many friends. Amanda deeply cared for animals and aspired to be a veterinarian. She attended St. Nicholas School, preschool through 5th grade, then attended 6th grade at OLPH School. She was an honorary teammate on the UTC Lady Mocs Softball team. Amanda loved our Lord Jesus and was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. Amanda bravely fought a brain tumor since October 19, 2009.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers J.C. Swartout and Stan Baker.
Survivors include her parents, Jeff and Kay Swartout, brother, Zac Swartout, grandparents, Debbie Baker, A.C. and Teresa Kennedy, and Margaret Swartout, and cousins, Jamie Peluso, Zoe Robinson and Tucker Robinson.
