Born on March 8, 1973 in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late Emile LaCroix and Mary (O'Riley) LaCroix of West Bridgewater, MA.
He is survived by his wife Kate A. Galop LaCroix of Chatham and his son Eli B. LaCroix of Yarmouth Port MA. John is also survived by his sisters Mary (LaCroix) Galvin and her husband Paul of Yarmouth Port MA, Victoria (LaCroix) Greene and her husband Robert of Gastonia NC, Therese LaCroix and her husband Peter Beloin of Bourne MA, Diane (LaCroix) Lennon and her husband Paul of FL, his nephews Andrew and Christopher Galvin, Brian and Corey Morrill, David and Patrick Raleigh. He was loved and will be missed by all knew him.
John was a professional landscaper with Hudson Landscaping of Harwich, MA and a member of the management staff at Embargo in Hyannis, MA at the time of his passing. He was formerly the Security & Safety Supervisor of Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Boston, MA and previously held a similar position at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. For over a ten year period John was a Special Police Officer at Boston University Medical Center.
John was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps from 1992 until 1996 having served his country during Operation Southern Watch. He thoroughly enjoyed nature and the outdoors, especially fishing and walking his dogs Gracie and Ronan.
Visiting hours will be held from 5PM to 8PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Nickerson Funeral Home at 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA with burial on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:30 AM with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
