Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

CHATHAM- Joan E. (Cosman) Jones, age 84, beloved wife of Homer W. Jones, Jr. died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9, 2015. Joan was a resident of Chatham, formally Chelmsford, MA. She was born in Wakefield, MA, April 3, 1931 the daughter of Walter Cosman of Wakefield and Lena (Barry) Cosman of Ireland.

Joan stayed at home and raised her four children, loved baking, reading and gardening. She also worked along side her husband Homer at their insurance agency, Dudley and Borland in Harvard Square. She spent many years enjoying golf at Nabnassett Lake Country Club in Westford as well as retirement in Sugar Mill in New Smyrna Beach Florida.

Besides her husband she is survived by Derek Jones and his wife Laurie of Landenburg, PA, Barry Jones and his wife Wendy of Brewster, MA, Alison Jones and Bob Endicott of Tewksbury, MA and Pamela Landrigan and her husband Robert Landrigan, Jr. of North Chelmsford, MA. Grandchildren surviving her are Kyle and Jessica Jones of Chatham, Kristen Jones of Puerto Rico, Benjamin and Andrew Jones of Landenburg, PA, Casey Joan Landrigan of Bedford, NH, Erin and Patrick Landrigan of North Chelmsford, MA and a great granddaughter Harper Jean of Puerto Rico.

Joan was predeceased by her siblings Helena Gardner, William Cosman, Walter Cosman, Frances Cosman, Carol Croft, Richard Cosman.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, December 13th at Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA. Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at 10 AM on Monday, December 14th at Holy Redeemer Parish, 57 Highland Avenue, Chatham, MA. Burial will be private.
