Entering the Navy at 17, Roger served his country for over a decade and rose to the rank of ICE second class. After his navy career, he began to drive a truck and did so for over 40 years. He and his wife Penny started PNR Transport and that was where he spent most of his adult life, driving across America.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Kincaid.
Family members include his wife of 48 years, Penny Davis, a son David Davis of Charlottesville, a daughter Denice Davis of Charlottesville, granddaughter Taylor Duran, grandsons Charlie Maynor, Cody and Kenneth Batten, a brother, Leon Travis of Windsor, CO and a sister Barbara Bonney of Fishersville, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 on Monday Feb.1 at Teague Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be help Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 12 noon at Holly Memorial Gardens.
