Richard Anderson

Richard Anderson, Richard 80 of Charlottesville, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Marjorie Williams and Doris Anderson Jones. Richard is survived by his son, Richard Anderson, II; grandson, Kingston Anderson; sister, Barbara Wells and her husband, Maurice of Charlottesville, Virginia; brother, Calvin Anderson and his wife, Peggy of Palm Coast, Florida; special friend, Ramona Reinhart; and a host of nephews and nieces that loved him dearly. Richard was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he went to Grover Cleveland School. He later joined the Air Force in 1956. Richard moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he retired from Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and ran Jones Driving School for a number of years before, and later ran his own business; Anderson Painting, when relocating to Virginia. Due to health reasons he was unable to continue his painting business. The family would like to thank the staff at UVA Hospital and the CNA’s at Charlottesville Health and Rehab, for taking such good care of the ‘soft spoken’ Gentleman.
