My condolences to the family. I met Elke years ago while working with her son, whom she loved deeply. Elke was a tough woman, but she loved just as fiercely. She dedicated her life to ensuring her son was taken care of and spent quality time with her daughter. Elke, I will forever miss you and our phone conversations. May you continue to stay classy and sassy on the other side. You will be missed by many. To the family, please stay strong and come together during this time.

I knew Elke for many years through my work at Central Virginia Training Center and Region Ten Community Services Board.  She was a very kind person who cared deeply for the disabled community.  She was very devoted to her family and friends.  My condolences to her family.
