Deborah was born on October 27th, 1956, in Corona, California to the late Leonard and Shirley Ann Roberts.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 15 years, Cliff McDaniel; Brother, Rick Roberts and his wife Dale Roberts, stepfather, Jimmy Rodgers, daughter, Lori Smith and her husband Neal, stepson Tippy McDaniel and his wife Lisa McDaniel, stepdaughter Brandy Fletcher and her husband Michael Fletcher, two grandchildren McKayla Smith McAteer and Cadence Smith, step grandchildren, Tyler McDaniel and Jordan Nicole and niece Tiffany Parker and her husband Alan Parker.
Debbie had a deep love for her mother and father and lived in many different locations due her father’s military service. She graduated from Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, South Carolina in 1974. She also graduated from Midlands Technical Collage in Columbia, South Carolina. She began her civil service career with the Internal Revenue Service in Columbia, South Carolina, then started her career with Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She later moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, where she continued to work at The JAG School and retired from government service after 38 years. Her greatest joy was reading books and exchanging those with her mother from time to time. She also enjoyed watching football on Sundays (mainly the Steelers) with her husband and stepson. Debbie liked relaxing most days watching her favorite shows on tv, listening to the oldies, enjoying her favorite sweets, and caring for their dog, Bailey. She will forever be loved and missed!
A graveside service at Holly Memorial Gardens will be held on Friday March 10th, at 2:30pm.
