Winifred B. Fields

Winifred Bacon Fields HARRISBURG - Winifred "Winnie" Fields, age 93, of Harrisburg, formerly of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 21, 1921 in Hyannis, MA and grew up in Wellfleet, MA, married and moved to Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Fields was a homemaker, loved sew and knit, was a member of Plaza Presbyterian Church for 50 years, sang in the church choir, worked with the children's choir, played piano and the organ at the church over the years. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert S. Bacon, and mother Mildred Maker Bacon and her husband, Herbert Leslie Fields. Survivors are her only son, Richard Fields and his wife Vicki of Harrisburg, brother, Arthur F. Bacon and son, Art F. Bacon, Jr. of Los Ohos, CA, grandson, Scott M. Fields and his son Brecken of Harrisburg and granddaughter, Kristin A. Fields of Kannapolis. A graveside service will be Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 1:00 P. M. at Sharon Memorial Park, followed by a church service at 2:00 P. M. at Plaza Presbyterian Church with a visitation following the service.
