Bill spent his childhood in Chicago. He enlisted in the Navy, where he served as a shipboard photographer aboard the USS Princeton. He met the love of his life, Barbara Pold, shortly after completing his tour.
Bill, Barb, and their son, William, moved to the Carolinas in the late 1970's, where Bill became part of Sonic Automotive, where he spent the last 47 years.
Bill is survived by his sister, Loretta Schneegas, of Chicago, IL; his son, William Sullivan; daughter-in-law, Judith Sullivan; grandchildren, Brianna, Kathleen, and Liam; nieces, nephews, and an extended "family of the heart" with whom he chose to surround himself.
He joins his sister, Veronica Sullivan Chambers, and his wife of 53 years, Barbara Pold Sullivan in eternal rest.
Visitation will be held at Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Road from 6-9 pm Monday and Tuesday, January 9th and 10th. Funeral services to be held at St.
Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway at 11 am Wednesday. Entombment with military honors will follow at Crown Memorial Park.
A celebration of life will begin at 1:30 pm at the Shore Club in Tega Cay, SC.
