Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" A. Marshall

Virginia A. “Ginny” Marshall, age 69 of Charlotte, died Thursday, July 14, 2016. Ginny was born in Sumter, South Carolina on January 24, 1947 to William and Laura Allsbrook. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 47 years, Terry Marshall; her daughter, Blake Marshall; mother, Laura Allsbrook; sister, Wanda Allsbrook; brother-in-law, Richard Marshall (Susan); niece, Elizabeth Marshall; nephews, Kelly Allsbrook and Justin Marshall; and her beloved cat, Espinosa. Ginny’s caring and loving nature was felt by anyone who knew her. She was giving toward others and never asked anything of anyone nor did she have any expectations of them. She found joy in caring for people, both young and old, as she worked with the youth and in the last 3 years of her life, she volunteered at Brookdale of Cotswold. She served her community as a Poll Judge of the Board of Elections. She loved to cook and shared many treasured memories with her family from time spent going to the beach house at Topsail. It was one of her favorite places. Ginny also had a compassionate heart toward animals and had many pets throughout her life.

On Wednesday, July 27, 2016, from the hours of 6:00-8:00 p.m., family and friends will gather to celebrate Ginny’s life at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte NC 28212.
