Florida, is the beloved son of Terry Elizabeth DesRavines and Mackenley DesRosier.
He departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 23.
He is survived by his parents, his siblings, Taylor, Terrah, Mason and Seth; maternal
grandparents, Antony and Monique; paternal grandparents, Louis and Marie; Uncle
Reginald and Aunt Edwina; cousins Antonio and Reginald II; Aunt Beritz and countless
other extended family members and friends.
Terryn Antonio attended Brookestone Elementary School, Charlotte Christian School,
and graduated from Butler High School. He became an alumnus of the University of
North Carolina Wilmington in 2022, when he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business & Finance. An entrepreneur at heart, he started his business TMAD, LLC in
2021 (the idea of his business name being one his mother intuitively gave him, and he
immediately loved); which included podcasts, car rental services, and a platform of
various artistic freedoms aimed at inspiring positive changes in a troubled world.
Additionally, he served on the board for a not-for-profit organization, Helping is
Togetherness.
Anyone who knew Terryn Antonio knew his Haitian heritage made him so proud. He
repped his flag on his ribs, and always supported the Haitian community. At the age of
one, Terryn Antonio spent two years in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with his great Aunt
Yvonne Major and his cousin Macda Cenat. It is very likely that in these primitive years,
Terryn Antonio’s love for his country blossomed as he was raised by his beloved family.
However, his greatest attribute is his ability to love and exude joy. He was appropriately
named Moses, as he was a natural born leader. Whenever he was around, he was a jolt of
energy, inspiring others around him to be the best version of themselves. With his
infectious smile and animated laughter, he always made sure you were going to “keep it
cool” and effortlessly dispelled all the negative energy. Still, those virtues pale in
comparison to the love he has for his family, especially his Ma Dukes, his namesake and
Queen, as he so affectionately called her. They are the best of friends, and he will
remain her light until the end of time.
Although our hearts are heavy with Terryn Antonio’s premature departure from this
world, we can find solace in the knowledge of how passionately Terryn loves the Lord.
Regularly, he would join Meemaw in daily devotionals and he would often stop midconversation
and have those around him bow their heads in a quick prayer; seemingly
out of nowhere. He did this often, and today he would encourage you to do the same,
because as he tweeted, “if I die before you do [don’t say RIP], just go harder in life in
my honor. That’s dope.”
