Terrie Lynn Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terrie Lynn Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Terrie passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 66 years old.

Terrie was born on November 30,1958 in Bryan, Ohio to the late Vincent and Adeline Shull. She married the love of her life, Ralph John Brown on November 6,1982 and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Terrie was a devoted mother who always made time for family, whether it was coaching volunteering at school, helping with homework or simply enjoying a family dinner.

Terrie spent 40 years as a hair stylist, her big heart and spunky personality created a comfortable welcoming atmosphere filled with lots of smiles and laughter for everyone who sat in her chair.

In addition to her career, Terrie loved traveling and spending time outdoors. She always followed the sunshine; by the pool, on the lake, or simply going for walk.

Terrie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving wife to Ralph for thirty years, proud mother to Lindsay and doting grandmother to her two grandchildren, who affectionately called her “GiGi.” Terrie’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Terrie is survived by her daughter Lindsay and grandchildren, Tatum and Anna Jane. She is also survived by her sister Charlene and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A celebration of Terrie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 17,2024 at 11am in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service located at 10500 Park Road in Pineville. The family will greet friends starting at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte in Terrie’s memory.

Terrie’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered as a woman with deep compassion for people and for animals. Terrie never met a stranger and made the world a better place one hug and one smile at time.
