Teddy “Ted” Locklear, 72, of Charlotte, NC, passed peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Born December 5, 1949 in Scotland County, NC, Ted was the son of Cleveland and Annie Mae Locklear.
Surviving are his nieces, Lois Thompson, Anita Brandau, Kathy Hodgson, Ruth Harris of Charlotte, NC and a host of other nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia M. Locklear and daughter, Dana Ann Locklear, brothers, Frederick and Gene Locklear; sisters, Annie L. Chavis and Carolyn L. Hodgson.
Funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to Ambassadors to the Nations Ministry, Freedom Christian Center, 4020 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
