Charlotte – Mrs. Walker, 76, formerly of Wilson, NC, died January 1, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Providence Road, Charlotte, NC.
She was the daughter of the late James A. Sigmon and Gladys Wallace Sigmon. She is survived by her three children, Troy M. Walker, III and wife Debbie, James A. Walker and wife Inez, Elaine W. Downer and husband Joe, and one grandchild, Elizabeth A. Downer.
Sylvia retired from the Wilson County School system. After retirement, she returned to Charlotte, where she remained for the rest of her life.
No formal service will take place.
