Steven Edward Beck

Steve was born October 14, 1958, in Charleston, WV, son of the late Charles Edward Beck, Jr. and Juanita Marcine Beck. He spent his youth growing up in Berwyn, PA, and Vienna, VA, before settling in the Charlotte area. He was a talented athlete graduating from Madison High School, in Vienna, and later from UNC-Charlotte Magna Cum Laude. Steve enjoyed a long career in IT. He was a devoted father and was active in the community coaching girls sports with his daughter’s teams. He was an avid reader and loved history, sports, nature and the outdoors; and, he loved no place on earth more than the beach.

Steve was predeceased in death by his father, Charles E. Beck, Jr. He is survived by Lynne Beck, of Charlotte NC, married to Steve for 13 years; his daughter, Devyn Beck, of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Juanita Marcine Beck, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his sister, Shari Sebuck (Jeff), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and a host of Nephews, Nieces, Aunts, and Uncles and Cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2:00pm, in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
