Roy was born in Massachusetts of David Roy Trombly and Pauline (LaDoux) Trombly. He was the husband of Mary Madeline (Saracino) Trombly for 61 years.
Roy was a plumber and also a truck driver with the Teamsters for over 30 years. Since his retirement, he enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and photography. Proud of his accomplishment of being named 410 State Skeet Shooting Champion in 1981.
He is survived by his 3 children, Son and daughter-in-law Anthony and MaryAnn Trombly of Myrtle Beach, SC, Daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Michael Bourgoin of Fort Mill, SC, Daughter Marybeth Trombly and Mohammed Alvi of Apex NC, 4 beloved grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren (Scott Bourgoin and wife Amber, their 2 children Brinkley and Lucas, Heather Trombly and Corey Chenevert and their 2 children Noah and Ava, Kevin Bourgoin and wife Alexa, their daughter Wyatt Anne and Megan Bourgoin and Chase Watson and their daughters Blakely and Emilia).
