Visitation will be 1 PM, Saturday, April 8th at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel preceeding the funeral services.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, April 8th at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel with Rodney Cripps and Steve All of GraceLife Church of Pineville officiating. Burial will follow at Pineville City Cemetery..

Roy Phillip Garner was born in Greenville, South Carolina to Marvin and Martha (Phillips) Garner on June 22, 1955. He was a graduate of Clemson University and a loyal follower of Clemson athletics. He worked in the trucking industry in sales for almost 40 years. Phillip was extremely strong in his faith and love for our Lord. He was an avid member of his church, GraceLife Church of Pineville. He assisted with the Coffee Bar, Awana Club as well as the Cancer Care Ministry.

Phillip is preceded in death by his father, Marvin George Garner Sr., and his brother Marvin George Garner, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Brian Alexander of Charlotte, NC. His mother, Martha Garner of Taylors, SC. His brother Don Garner of Taylors, SC as well as his two nephews: Alan Garner of Taylors, SC and Christopher Garner of Memphis, TN.

Memorials may be given to the Cancer Care Ministry at GraceLife Church of Pineville. 705 Lakeview Drive, Pineville, NC 28134.
