Rosetta Morgan Orr

She attended JH Gunn High School and married her high school sweetheart, Travis Bernard Orr Sr in 1963. To this union five children were born.

Rosetta loved gardening, assembling jigsaw puzzles, solving crossword puzzles, and cooking for everyone. She had a deep love for the blues and traditional gospel music and traveling with an occasional stop at a casino. Most of all, she loved her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, granny, and friend.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband, Travis B. Orr Sr; her mother, Lottie Kelley; her father, Elias Pink Morgan; her five brothers, Ralph Morgan, Obie Morgan, Pink Morgan, Jr, Lewis Morgan and Jack Morgan; her five sisters; Mary Lean Barnes, Corine Orr, Lula Morgan, Frances Moore, and Ruth Morgan; and two grandchildren, Jackson Orr and Euryah Orr.

She leaves to celebrate her life her memory her children, Travis Orr Jr (Helen), Loretta Wilson (Preciouse), Lorraine Orr (Candice), Coretta Orr, and Annette Orr; her grandchildren, Rodriguez Orr (Philisha), Crystal Jackson (Raphael), Constance Orr, Elijah Wilson, Faith Wilson, Jayden Orr, Alex Orr, Eddie Mack III, Travis Orr, Denzel Orr, Keisha Linder, Kelley Orr, Shanice Underwood, Roderick Underwood Jr (Aleida), and Lawrence Herbert; her nine great grandchildren, and many other loving extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews - Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28227. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A committal service will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
