Rodney Norman Taylor, age 68, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on January 10, 2022. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Rodney was the third born son to the late Robert F Taylor and late Marianne Taylor. Rodney was born in Anchorage, Alaska. He grew up living on Army bases around the country with his parents and three brothers. He graduated high school in Frankfurt, Germany. Throughout his years of work, he spent most of his life as a rate clerk for trucking companies. Most recently retiring from Old Dominion trucking company. During football season, you could find Rodney in his Carolina Panthers jersey cheering them on. Rodney also loved going to the imovies. He was commonly known for his quiet nature, dry wit, and huge heart. There is not much that Rodney would not do for someone he cared about.
Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Robert F Taylor; his mother, Marianne Taylor; his brother, Robert “Richard” Taylor; and his brother, Paul Taylor. He is survived by his brother, Walter (Pam) Taylor; his sister in law, Sharon Taylor; his niece, Jodie (Marty) Conte; his niece, Jennifer (Victor) Espin; his nephew, Richie (Michele) Taylor; his niece, Jamie (Luis) Castrillon; his nephew, Michael (Emily) Taylor; his niece Crystal (Dylan) Martino; along with several beloved grand-nieces, grand-nephews and great grand-nephews.
