was raised in Pineville and Troutman and moved to New York City in 1968. He
graduated from St. John's University and worked in the insurance and IT fields.
Bob founded his successful consulting business, Group 4 Systems, in 1986 moving
on to private industry in 2001. The happiest days of his working life were the last
five years at Xpient Solutions. He treasured his friendships with the wonderful
people at Xpient.
Bob loved his family, his friends, his country, his work, and playing cards. Tuesday
and Thursday nights you could find him at Bailey's with his poker buddies. Many
nights his son Jonathan, would join him, sharing the good times and the
camaraderie of caring friends.
Bob is loved and greatly missed by his wife Lupe, son Jonathan, daughter Jackie,
grandson, Tyler, and sister, Paulette Kennedy. They are comforted by the tributes
of friends and colleagues to Bob's quick wit, goodness, compassion, and intelligence.
Bob was easy to get to know and people loved being around him.
Bob, what a legacy you leave! What a role model to your children and grandson-a
loving husband and father, a loyal friend, a talented and hardworking professional,
a helpful neighbor, but most of all a truly decent and moral man. Our time with you
was too short, but our lives are richer for having shared that time with you.
