Attended a Theis retiree luncheon yesterday only to find out about the loss of Peter.  Just want to say I am so sorry for all of you and sorry he did not have more time to enjoy his family and retirement. Through e-mail correspondence I do know he was surrounded by the love of family and that he was upheld in that. Our thoughts and prayers are with him as well as with you.

Tina:  I just watched the woderful video of you and Pete surrounded by your four boys and all those grandkids.  I regret that Trish and I didn't do a better job of keeping in touch with you and Pete after you left Chicago, but have never forgotten what a good man he was.  You guys obviously had many happy times together and that will always afford you wonderful memories to hold on to in the years ahead.

I lost Trish to ovarian cancer last September and at the very end, her passing was a blessing.  I thank God every morning for the 45 years we had together and I am at peace because I know she is full of joy and happiness where she is now.

Pete is at peace now and I hope you will find peace too.  You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Pete yesterday.  I only had the pleasure of working with him at Theis for a short period of time but I never forgot him.  He was a great boss and friend and loved to laugh.  I learned a lot from him.  Sorry for your loss.

I will be forever grateful that Pete and I reconnected after 40+ years...We became friends at Parsons College and were both members of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.  In the past few months, we a number of laugh-filled calls and emails as we reconstructed those wild times in Iowa.  And there was this very cute girl, Tina Carlson, who came into Pete's life in those days...and never left.  My deepest sympathies go out toe Tina and their boys.  God Bless your memory Quimbs.....

There are so many fond memories from 7 Deer Ridge Rd that I will carry with me forever. Many are going thru my mind as I write this and in everyone I can hear Pa Fink's laugh. The Fink family (and extended family) is one of strongest, closest, happiest, and loving I've ever met. Your loss is great, but, together you will heal. I never met Peter, but I have had the honor of being friends with one of his sons. I have heard it said many times, the greatest measure of a man is his son. Steve Fink, Peter Fink, Tom Fink,Jamie Fink, I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. When he was in the Killingworth Lions Club, we shared many funny and good times together. Please express my sincerest sympathies to the rest of your family and especially your mom.

This super Dad, Grandfather, Father and Law,  Husband and Friend has been  a great loss to this world  I will always remember staying up late and filling stockings  at Christmas for his grand children and I must say he filled my stocking at age 33  What a treat.. He will always be a positive memory in my mind,, heart and soul. Prayers to all of the family. :)

I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to the whole family. Mr. Fink was one of the kindest people I've ever known.  I remember running into both of you shortly before your move south.  After not having seen me for nearly 20 years he gave me a big hug and immediately asked about my mom and sisters. He was always thinking of others. He was so full of love for his family. Dear Fink  family,  I was a brother of Pete's at Parsons and the last time I saw him was 1966 or so.  I missed the reunions and did not see  Pete since.  I do remember a  wonderful man and friend. I met first Pete & Tina at least 47 years back, while I began seeing Tina's cousin Susan Shimp.  

Pete played a big part in endorsing me into "the family." AND - I'm still a card carrying member - as today marks 45 years knotted with Sue. Thank you Pete!

Later, with a few other add-on strays, we expanded and branded ourselves as "the outlaws" as we would LAUGH, relish and cherish the little pecularities of the bloodline we married into.  Pete was the laugh machine, always welcoming more family situation comedy.  

Today Pete is in a more comforting place, surrounded by loving family souls and certainly  very jovial about the day-to-day heaven banter. 

Be with God brother, say Hi to your Patron Saint and put in a good word for us sinners that follow.

Tina and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of an old classmate and friend.  I have fond and lasting memories of Pete and I sprouting our wings and learning to fly as teenagers growing up in Burlington. 
I so looked forward to seeing Pete in Williamsburg this August. Maybe golf was an unrealistic expectation, but dinner and conversation was something I would have enjoyed.
I did so enjoy seeing the "adult" Pete this past December as we caught up on great gaps of time in our lives. I couldn't be happier to have had Pete as a friend.
