I have always said life is to short enjoy it while you can.  I look back through out her years and sister Peggy did.  We had wonderful adventures together.  Both traveling and just spending time together.  She loved it when were in the mountains just to look out side at the wonderful view and play cards.  As teenagers going to the local pool with mom and her sisters, enjoying festivals, craft shows, etc. She did not like fighting and enjoyed life to the fullest. I will deeply miss her but I know she is free from health issues and with loved ones that are in heaven. We will see each other again. Thanks for the wonderful time together and I never gave up on you. I will smell the ocean for you and stick my toe in the water in memory of you. I love you may you rest in peace


I enjoyed going to the beach and mountains with Steve and Peggy.  We enjoyed eating out and hearing Steve and Ray talk about old times. She always seemed happy and ,even though I knew she was not feeling very well, nothing slowed her done.  She loved her children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag on them.  I will miss you but I am comforted knowing that you are suffering no longer and enjoying walking the streets of glory.

I loved spending time with Steve and Peggy.  They always seemed happy and in love with each other.  We were together at the beach when I mentioned to them that one of the partners was selling their share of the mountain condo.  I noticed them looking strangely at each other.  The following conversation between them went something like this.  “What do you think?  I’m for it.  We can take our family there.  Yes, let’s do it.”  They did not go into detail.  It was as if they knew what the other was thinking.  I will never forget it.  Rest In Peace Peggy in the mountains and beaches of glory.

My mom was a great mother and friend to us kids and grandchildren we will miss you alot. We had good times at the beach ,outer banks, mountains and family gatherings. She is free from the oxygen cords, and can breathe well, and up in heaven with family members who are not with us anymore granny ,pops, grandpa (929),and we will get to see her and the others that are not with us anymore. I will miss you and I love you so much! RIP I will see you again love always son/Jonathan

Peggy always had a smile on her face. She worked hard and was very accomplished and admired.   She loved to laugh and she loved her children more than anything in the world. She would do anything for her friends. She will be greatly missed.

My Husband and I were on a cruise Dec 2018. We were sat at a table in the back of the dining room and we were by ourselves. (We like to be sat with other people because we like to meet new people). The second day We were joined by Steve and Peggy! What a blessing it was to have had them join us for dinner the rest of the cruise! They joined us for Karaoke a couple times as well! Peggy was a beautiful woman who enjoyed cruising with her love Steve! We would spend the time at dinner talking about their adventures! At the end of dinner Peggy and I would take the Cranberry bread to snack on later. Even though we have remained Facebook friends we will miss seeing her posts about spending time with her family! Mom I love you from the bottom of my heart. I know that you can breathe well now. This is the hardest thing I can imagine going through. I will always cherish the memories we made together. I am sorry about your loss. Peggy was a loving and kind hearted person.
We had such great family time at Grannie and Pops with all of our trips to Cherokee. I will never forget the trip she took with Carol and me to Tunica, We lost all of our money and had none to get out of the parking lot at the airport. Dink was not a happy camper! That was a secret to the grave...did not make it that far. That little tidbit made Christmas interesting! We did have wonderful times and now she is with Grannie, Pops and Dink.
