Nancy J Mueller

Nancy Mueller, 81, of Charlotte passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, February 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, James Walter Mueller. Nancy was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Ann Rich and Matthew Monaco.

She and Jim moved to Charlotte in 1969 where they raised their children, Leslie and Chris. Nancy was most recently a volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews and was a member of numerous women’s groups. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a fun-loving, energetic and compassionate person who looked after the needs of others and could always be counted upon to help. She will be missed by members of the Love Circle and by all those who knew and loved her, especially her family.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Leslie (Mosley), son Chris, grandchildren Jenna (Yacine) and John, and great-grandson Ayoub. Her ashes will be scattered in the waters of Sullivan’s Island where she will join her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Catholic Social Services. A memorial Mass will be held in Nancy’s honor in the Day Chapel at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church on February 24th at 11:00am.
