He was born on September 15, 1981 in Washington, DC to Tony and Phyllis Hall Steele. He was a graduate of Surrattsville High School, Clinton, MD and entered the Marine Corps right after graduation.
Michael is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He served two tours in Iraq in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and one tour in Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He was an avid dog lover and a sports enthusiast. He was always willing to help others and was quite the jokester.
In addition to his parents, Tony and Phyllis; Michael is survived by, one brother Phillip Andrew (Shekita) and one sister Danielle Ashley; 2 nieces Kylah Trennae and Abrianna Destiny and one nephew Jadon Phillip; two dogs Brave and Sergeant which he adored, and host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on November 16, 2019 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, with Military Honors. The family will receive friends following the service.
