Melda Rose Maddox Privatte

Mrs. Privatte was retired from the Medical and Insurance field. She also spent her Sundays at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher as long as her health allowed her to. She loved showing horses, enjoyed being a nurse, sewing, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Melda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Hugh Robert Privatte of Matthews, NC; daughter, Vicki Privatte and son William “Bo” Privette and his fiancee’ Ginger Govan; grandchildren, Kyle and Chris Privette and Alicia & Britt Jones; great grandchildren, Abhisneha, Gideon, Saffron and Jethro; brothers, George “Mickey” Maddox and his wife Beverly of Raymond, WA, Larry Maddox and his wife Ann of Metairie, Louisiana and sister-in-law Sandra Maddox.

Along with her parents, Melda, is preceded in death by her brother Charles “Sonny” Maddox.

A memorial service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 21st of December, 2015 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, 3316 Pleasant Plains Road, Matthews, North Carolina. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care.
