Mary Frances Fogle Yates

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010 from the mausoleum chapel of Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC, with The Reverend Rick Carter officiating. Entombment will follow the service. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum.

Mrs. Yates was born August 20, 1921 in Pelion, SC, a daughter of the late Fred and Sally Reynolds Fogle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Yates and by four sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Yates was a “Home Kid” from Tiffin, OH. She was a devoted member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Waxhaw.

Mrs. Yates is survived by her children, Linda Bolick and her husband, Dick of Waxhaw, NC, and Thomas Howard Yates and his wife, Nancy of Spotsylvania, VA; sister, Sarah Perkins of Jefferson City, TN; grandchildren, Shannon Rasnick and her husband, Steve of Waxhaw, and Sean Scoggins and his wife, Jennifer of Indian Trail, NC; and by three great grandsons, Kade and Cole Scoggins, and Brycen Rasnick.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC.
