Mary Frances Alexander Patterson

Mrs. Patterson, 84, of Midland, formerly of Charlotte, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center, Northeast.

A funeral mass will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 4, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4207 Shamrock Drive, with the Rev. Philip Scarcella, celebrant. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born March 4, 1926 in Union County, NC, Mrs. Patterson was a daughter of the late Louie Brown Crump and Verla Mae Pressley Crump. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Wilbur Alexander, two children, David Allen Alexander and Patricia Ann Alexander, and eight siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Harry D. Patterson; five children, Frances Alexander of Hillsboro, OH, Ron Alexander and his wife, Karen, of Gastonia, Carla Little of Stallings, Joe Alexander and his wife, Lisa, of Huntersville, and Monica Blackwell and her husband, Charles, of Midland; two sisters, Hazel Carter and Judy Harris and her husband, Bob, all of Matthews; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
