Mrs. Martha Lawrence Stewart

Ms. Martha Eugenia Lawrence Stewart, 80, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died on September 8, 2015. A native of York County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Estelle Lawrence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Stewart and by two sisters. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Martha was a Mathematics Professor at UNCC for over 40 years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop College and her Master’s Degree from Duke University. She loved crafting and gardening.

Martha is survived by her son, Robert Stewart and wife Terri of Woodinville, WA; by a daughter, Carol Luzon of Charlotte, NC; and by four grandchildren, Kennedy and Colin Stewart of Washington and Casey and Alex Luzon of Charlotte.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
