Charlotte - Marsha Hart Turbeville went to be with her Lord on March 6, 2017 at her home in Indian Trial, NC surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10 am at the First Baptist Indian Trail Chapel. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11 am with Reverend Irvin Reynolds officiating. Interment will be private.
Marsha was born in Charlotte, NC to Lloyd and Janie Lee Hart on October 15, 1945. She went to Garinger High School and married Joe Turbeville on March 30, 1968. She started her career at NCNB and became a stay at home mom to her two daughters for 12 years. Marsha then went on to work in the Charlotte Mecklenburg school system for 17 years.
After retirement she enjoyed keeping her grandchildren. Marsha was a fun, kind and loving soul, bringing joy and laughter to those close to her. She possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Her warm personality along with her constant smiling laughter and joking around will never be forgotten. Marsha loved to sing, read, play games/cards – especially with her grandchildren, and chat with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Wayne Moore and Kay Hart. Marsha is survived by her husband, Joe Turbeville; children, Blair Carr and Whitney Culbertson; six grandchildren, who lovingly called her A-ma, Ben, Reagan and Nathan Carr and Reese, Preston and Jake Culbertson; sons-in-law, Dwayne Carr and Justin Culbertson; and sister, Gayle Bangert. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support.
