Born on September 26, 1957, in Pinehurst, North Carolina, he was a graduate of Garinger High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Gardner-Webb University.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Alexander McNeill, and mother, Mary Nelson Dunlap.
Mark was a sports fanatic; if he could not be found hitting the links on local golf courses, he could be found in his favorite chair, flanked by his two canine companions, Gizmo and Capone, keeping tabs on the current pulse of the wide world of sports.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Crystal Brown McNeill; son, Chad McNeill; daughter and son-in-law, Hannah McNeill Gambrell and Chad Gambrell; son, Brant McNeill, and son, Josh McNeill. He also leaves behind his two wonderful grandchildren, Blakely and Luke.
A gathering for Mark will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
